I used 15 odd kgs of sand in my 7x2.5, maybe the density is quite different between the 2 as well I guess.

I like to have a nice layer of sand Jules, 3-4 cm at least. Maybe that's what it is...

Leich, I will let you know if that works, I got it through work (Aquotix)

Got this one while trying to take pics of a fish. Shows the color pretty well. Looks redder in the yabby tank under a different light though,

Holy sh*t I didn't realise API Aquaclear changes the water that much!

Geez that's not bad

Will aqua clear get rid of algae build up in Cannister Filter pipes without killing 3 - 4 cm juvies?

Nope, but you can use API Stress Zyme+ , it helps break down the sludge and any crap in the canister filters.

I was always sceptical (or skeptical?) about using this kind of products, but after using them - the pictures prove it - I think they really work and are worth it.

Just imagine how many water changes it would have taken to remove all that crap/dust from the tank. I couldn't believe what I was seeing this morning when I woke up! :)

Instead of wasting that much water. Get a otto power head, fill a few cups full of filter wool. Keep changing the wool as needed, be clear in a couple days. I've cleared much larger tanks doing this, very quickly.

Using floculants is just binding the smaller particles so they drop out of suspension and back onto the floor of the tank to be disturbed in the future.

Seachem Clarity with the above method of otto power head and filter wool works for me.

Yep, have been doing that already. Filters are full of wool :)

This sand is just so fine, seems like when it rubs itself creates more dust. But we will win this battle, I know it
