Hi all,

Just thought I'd share some pics of some of the strange tanks I found while trying to find some inspirational shots for my next tank.

Anyways, check em out...

And here's some of the pics of that car tank from under water world.
I couldn't get many good ones cos people kept walking past dry.gif

Cheers
Ronny.

That car one is real. It has a rift lake setup inside. I seen it before on another website. It is quite remarkable what they did to the car in order for it to work

With a remote! smile.gif

Crank the climate control for heating/cooling. Speed up the fans for aeration. Put some Barry White tunes on to condition the fish for breeding wink.gif

Actually Donna you will find that all of those aquariums pictured are real.......The one in the second picture costs approx $9000, but it does come with some kick ass gear!!!! The specs on it are nuts.

The top one is made by Aqua One and the 3rd one i have seen for sale on eBay a number of times (i think its more commonly available in the UK)

All of them have one thing in common....Highly impracticable. They are more designed for artistic purposes than fish keeping wink.gif

Hey Ronny

Were those pics of the car from Bangkok Siam Aquarium?

If not there was a Subaru Outback(I think), a fridge, and a washing machine with fish in them when we were there in September last year.

Had a useless camera so have no decent photos of them dry.gif

Nah they were taken at under water world in Qld.
For some reason they don't have pics of it on the site though?

Car Aquariums are so unneccessary.

I saw the one at Siam, Im confident certain interior items are leaching chemicals into the water, and the design looks as though proper maintainence would be difficult to impossible, the water looked like a urine yellow colour, basicially a disgusting polluted looking enviroment, just a gross amusement for stupid rubbernecks IMO.

Cheers
