Died or were eaten? If died, I'd look to your water. Did they head for the surface?

No they are in frysaver and they just hid close to the structure.... didnt go for the surface.....
The frysaver is a cotton one and a couple of times we caught the other fishes having a go at them through the net (stoking)
Wonder if that was it?

Probably sucked against the netting and crushed to death, best to have a secondary tank for fry, or have a smaller fry saver within a larger one to stop that happening.

ok, have moved her into a smaller plastic one..
Question - do I need an airstone in the frysaver?

i would have one if you have it spare just to make sure it stays oxygenated and circulates the water

overnight developments in the work tank..... two fry in the plastic fry saver.......... but no mum in there..... she has jumped out and back into the main section of the tank......
No sign of any fry in the tank and none of the EY's look like they are holding.
So that must be i and we had 5 fry that we know of but only two survivors
Mum is only about 6cms so I am guessing she couldnt fit much more of them in there.
Home tank is a drama - 3 are presently holding and so I have added more fake plants to try and give some protection.
No chance I am going to stress and try and get them into a saver.

I cant blv it but just spotted fry in the depths of the rock and shell taking cover.... at least three of them. There is also one that is quite a bit bigger - thinking it was born a while ago and we didnt even know.......... Will these guys survive? I dont know how they will get anything to eat as they dont leave their cover at all..... Do I need to catch them and put them in the fry saver? I am guessing the females have done it naturally now so next time we will strip and put them all in a separate tank.

They can survive, i got around 15 youngsters from my Trewavasae in my tank, and they are now ignored by the other fish (3-4cm) and can swim freely.
Not sure how big yours are, at least a few can survive.

around day 15 I moved her into her own 20 litre tank. She loved it being alone.
day 18 she Released all 15 on her own and was happily swimming around with them.
I moved her straight back into my main tank.
fry will be a week old on Sunday and still have all 15 they are growing everyday! Exciting my first fry experience.
Goodluck with everything

We have some fry in a tumbler.
They look like stomachs with eyes and a tail......very small
They dont have egg sacks though
Do they need to be in a tumbler or can I put them in a fry saver?
I have them in a tank by themselves but dont have a sponge filter so worried about them getting sucked in - thinking leaving them in the saver for now. I have three Kohla Loaches and a small super red in the tank only......
