I have a couple of that brand internal power filter at home. the suction caps aren't much chop, but haven't had any probs with the cords etc
that's hardcore! did you order the fancy schmancy filters?

No, not yet... probably be happening sooner rather than later though.

I might have to replace the ones I have then. I remember someone on this forum carrying on about the otto internal filters being the bees knees, might give them a shot

that happened with my internal Otto the other month. it wasn't a young one tho.

I think the worse was doing something with a power cord and finding nicks in the plastic to expose the wires. Possibly from a tank hood shutting on them but was never certain.

they are good, mind you I had one completely burn itself out after 2 years though, which I thought was a little odd.
