Hi All
My name is John. I am currently the Western Regional Manager (WA,SA & NT) for Coffey Information, a part of Coffey International which is in the top 300 listed companies on the ASX. What we do currently is test properties of material used in the construction and materials industry. We work for all types of construction companies and mining companies throughout Australia and New Zealand. and I have been involved with the PCS since early 2006. I started keeping cichlids in a little setup a couple of years prior after getting bored with a mixed tropical tank. Since then I have grown my collection to a maximum of about 18 tanks. I have currently only 8 tanks going with a small variety of fish. The sizes range from 4x12x18 up to 6x2x2. The fish I have had have all bred sucessfully and have raised most of the fry from them bar a couple of species. In particular 1 breed which I have not been successful with are the good old common bristle nose, which is very annoying. I have keep most varieties from Americans to Tangs Victorians Malawi's. The list of what I have currently are as follows (common name only if available)
Tropheus Dubosi & Moliro
O Ventralis "Orange Cap"
Common BN and Peppies
Red Empress
Hongi
Electric Yellow
Electric Blue
Lepto's
M Auratus
Maingano's
D Compressicep and Strigatus
Lombardio
Afra Cobue
Acei Tanzania
Cobolt Blue's
Ps Elongatus "mpanga"
Syno Multi's
L Mamba Bay
Red Zebra
P Annecten
C Moori
Sulphur Crest Litho's
Convicts
Silver Shark
Rainbow Sharks
You wouldnt be able to tell from the list, however I have cut the number of fish that I have back considerably. You wouldnt tell from the list though.
Anyway, Thanks for reading,
Regards
John

I am still perfrecting the process. The females are holding longer now. I will start to seperate the females from the group once I catch them holding as that will increase my chances. I will see what happens. I also have chitutas (?spelling)which are nearing maturity and are starting to colour nicely...

Hi John,

Those electric yellows we got from you quite a while ago are growing beautifully and are doing well.

Hubby said your other tanks were amazing wink.gif

Thanks Aimee. The yellows should be breeding by now cause that was some time ago. Have you had any luck?
