Hi everyone

I had just join a group on Facebook called "World of Moses",
And quite a few poeple have been using these moss balls in their tanks.

I've been thinking about getting a few to try, just wonder if anyone else has these or tried them aswell and
How did it go?

Thanks ant

Seen these, but I imagine we cant import them into WA?

-edit-
Found this on Australian Shrimp keeper forum
"Marimo Balls/Moss

"Marimo ball & Marimo Moss" are illegal imports and a protected species in Japan, as such anyone buying, selling, trading, showing photos of this species will have there threads removed & deleted. If you have this Species in your possession you are advised to Contact AQIS for the safe removal and quarantine of it. Failing to do so may end up in loss of tank inhabitants and legal action being taken by AQIS. This topic is not open for discussion on SKF."

You'll probably just get blocked tbh, there's also people all over ebay selling them.

I'm not going to lie, considering it's the Japanese that are whaling etc it's pretty tough to respect their idea of a protected species. But still, two wrongs dont make a right i guess

As pretty as they are, I wouldn't risk buying a real Marimo Moss Ball.

A friend in Sydney bought one from Gumtree, and AQIS were monitoring the seller and a few weeks latery raided him and had him provide the details of the buyers, and they eventually got in contact with my friend and nuked his tank.
