Have a group of Bristle noses that consists of 3 males and 4 females.

Went from nothing to consistent clutches of eggs over the last month and have fry total of around 90 in fry saver, I have been removing the fry from cave and transferring to fry savers after 10days . Within a day both caves have egg clusters about the size of a 20c piece again.

Do BN lay eggs in instalments  or are they just conditioned well enough to generate a new batch of eggs and be in the mood for action that fast?

hey jb bristlenose catfish will do that...i had to seperate my males from the female because i was sick of all the new fry...i wouldnt worry about removing the fry from the parents.

most bristlenose catties are good parents and wont hurt the fry...all the spawns might be link to the bad weather....with rain comes new life.

or it could be your just a natural at breeder fish.

enjoy.

with a single pair of b/n by the time the male has hatched the eggs and raised them and then booted them out of the cave the female can be ready to lay again if conditions suit her :)
