Hi

I'm well and truly back into fish keeping again. Picked up 10x Cichla monoculus, quick video of them smashing pellets off the surface.

Not sure how to embed photobucket videos.

Yeah mate its in the blood, was toying with the idea of keeping African cichlids, but the lure of tankbusters was too strong. Will have these bass up to 30cm within 6months I reckon - without any issues.

Nice full bellies. These guys are eating machines - chopped whitebait and hikari food sticks at the moment. Need to convert them to marine gold pellets next. These fish will never see a live feeder in their lives - not intentionally anyway.

Good to be back, an 18 month lay off really gets the hunger again.

I buy it from the fish market in mirrabooka so it's meant to be human grade, but I personally wouldn't eat it.

I've used both bait and human grade and never noticed any difference.
