#302018 2 Wheeled Fish Keepers ;)

Posted by sajica on 12 December 2013 - 09:48 PM

I think I need to clarify myself.

The front is great for washing off speed but you should still use the rear. The faster you go the more front and less rear, but as you slow down you're increasing the amount of rear. It made it sound like I was saying only use the front when slowing down.

Example pulling up to a traffic light, I'll use front brake initially before utilising the rear brake. There will be a point where it will be a majority of rear brake and just a little kick of front brake. A word of warning. Too much front brake with too little speed will see you and your bike fall over ;)

If you want to to come around with some pointers I'd be more than happy too, I just can't legally shadow you.

Sorry, I can't shadow yet. I only got my RE last year and just got my R's

I think it's something like 70 or 80% of your braking power comes from front and 20/30% with your back. (Don't quote me on that)

Essentially don't use the front brake unless your slowing down. Use rear brake only for low speed maneuvers.

DON'T try and use a front brake during an O Turn, just don't be tempted. Back break and only back break, but you will need to use and modulate front and rear brake during an E Brake :)

hth

And Yes on a PCS cruise.

Also for the R test they're looking for hill park and hill start. I never got assessed on that, but most will assess you on that.

#299075 Do You Pull Flap Off Or Leave It On

If that's the case Johnno, every pub restroom I've been to must be good enough to eat off the floor ;)

#298988 Why Are My Neons Disappearing?

Posted by sajica on 02 November 2013 - 09:23 AM

My money's on the Empire Gudgeon, then the Rainbows. I've had Empires eat small fish and tadpoles. More so if the Empires are getting a bit of size on them.

I tend to peel, trim or bite it off. Just depends where it is.

Blisters I always pop, including blood blisters, but then I'm a scab picker ;)

If it's any consolation Johnno I read the thread title as "Do you pull or fap off"  I'm sure someone will laugh at that, and a mod will probably delete it :P

Looks like an Auloncara jacobfreibergi. It could be either a Eureka Red or Firebird, it may also be something a different variant too. Play the waiting game and see how he colours up.

#296363 Go The Dockers

Let's not forget WCE didn't win in their first grand final appearance either.

I had to google who they were playing ;)

They lost ;)

Hawthorn West Coast     20.19 (139) 13.8 (86)

Looks like both Freo and WCE have a thing or 2 in common.

Those bloody hawks :P

#295900 Predicting A Sydney Hawthorn Grand Final

Posted by sajica on 22 September 2013 - 08:23 AM

I know you're trolling us Freo fans, but what ever happened to the good old days? Up the Vics..

I'd have thought when it came to the crunch West Aussies would rather see a non Victorian team win over a Victorian team. What ever happened to eastern states rivalry? I suppose it vanished with State of Origin. And not the limp wristed State of origin when all the good players didn't play because of injury worries etc.

It was great being a kid and a WCE fan at the time and finally seeing the silverware being taken interstate.

Cannot believe we r finally going to an afl grand final been waiting for this for such a long time :*)

It almost makes me feel old :P

I've been a Dockers fan since they came into the comp. I'm happy to see Pav taste finals success and the play in a Grand Final considering he's been there through all the dark days and generous offers from other clubs.

I'm not convinced they'll take the flag and truth be told IF they do win certain people will still be happy to shit can them and compare them to their team etc. Good luck to the team next week :)

#294686 Congrat`s Freo!

Posted by sajica on 07 September 2013 - 06:30 PM

Given how crap the umpiring was in the first quater I doubted they'd get over the line, but they put in a great effort. It's always great to see your team (regardless of who you barrack for) have a bloody good win and Freo had a good win.

Really at the end of the day, as long was it's not the Vics winning then it's a good outcome ;)

I'm not sure if this counts as sporting memorbilia, but I bought this a few weeks back. Pic courtesy of google.

I'd much rather Cal Crutchlow's Arai Corsair helmet, but they don't make it anymore.
