Drilled a couple of holes in my mates tank today, it's going to be a full reef setup.

Just a couple of pics of the finished holes, I used a 52mm diamond tip glass bit and a variable speed drill, apart from that my mate sprayed some water on it while I drilled and that's it! :)

Couple of overflow boxes to come :)

buy diamond tipped hole saws from ebay, bunnings charge an arm and a leg, like 60-80 dollars per drill bit. ebay can get 2 for 20 :) they have never failed me

I get my glass bits from the UK, around $60 depending on size. I've used the cheapies from ebay but the diamond coating eventually comes off and they are good for around 20-30 cuts, good if you have a couple of holes to do, not so good if your doing multiple tanks

I haven't used the ones from bunnings but I reckon they would do the job
