We paid $400 for our Fx5, including media and postage from over east.

Ours came with a 6year guarantee....

BTW how much is postage to return for warranty and what is the turn around time?
In my experience, Fluvals do not have a good track record of late as well as the Laguna rage of pumps by the same manufacturer (the Fluval X5 uses a Laguna pump)
Suggest LFS (sponsor) eventhough the price is higher. You can get them to lower the price if you show them a copy of the price on the net and who it was from, the distributors in Australia need to realise that their products are being raped with little or no real backup.

a little while ago they where around 320 with media and a long warenty but i think youll need it as you i personaly dont like them but we are all difrent :wink: i never brought a fx5 from there only aqua ones they took around 7 days to get here and i dont know about returning one as the aqua ones have never missed a beat and they tested them with water befor sending them
