Yer post pics of your progress, Iv had plans to do the same thing to my metal stand. I want to make a facade that surrounds the stand with doors but I cant seem to visualise it in my head how Id go about it.

Alllrite! you've got me thinking and now I have an idea!
I also have been looking for a good way to finish the cabinet.
Measure up what the doors and sides you require are and go to a furniture shop that produces it's own furniture and have them supply you wood stained as required in the size you want.
I'm gonna go to one in malaga, Timberbox.
Add hinges for opening outwards from the centre.
Screw or bolt each side wood piece into the metal to stop the sides n doors toppling over when being opened.
Add spiffy handles....sounds achievable!!

No worries

Im not looking to stain mine most probably paint it black, like the Rolling Stones. And I plan to have a very simple minimalist trim (none of the fancy woodwork you see with some cabs)

Just make sure you put up some pics and if I like what I see, the plans for it too as I think we have the same tank/stand!

Yeah, went to Timber box but I think they have closed.
Might have to just give it a go my self....... will post if I get it happening.
