#318246 Jag And Carpintis Able To Breed?

Posted by Jarrod90 on 13 June 2014 - 03:22 PM

Like I said just want to know what to expect in my tank haha, if they do spawn the fry will likely end up getting chomped up by the other fish in there. Really interesting to watch the pairs behaviour though, makes me even more keen to get a tank set up for breeding some Salvini!

Thanks Az

My housemate got the lei from city barn a while back, was about 10 cm, its now ~20cm in a tank with male and female motoro ray and some juvie murray cod. Think he's planning to take the cod out once the pbass have grown out enough to go in the tank.

We got the bass from Vebas like 2 or 3 weeks ago, ~4 cm and seem to be growing pretty fast. Was pretty funny seeing a 4 cm peacock bass with the tail of a 3cm neon tetra hanging out of it's mouth, they are already machines! The guy at vebas said he'd found with young pb he had much more survive with the temperature a bit higher.

Those fish rooms look insane, would love to set one of those up at some point

Malawiman: Americans, mangrove jack, peacock bass and saratoga, that sounds like a good list! Got a young saratoga lei and some pbass in our house at the moment

Thinking of getting some Salvini's and trying my hand at breeding something other than mollys haha

Camo & Crooked - UKF Music Podcast #18

Solid

You guy get into glitch or neurofunk at all? Some real tasty genres.

Glitch I like but don't go out of my way to find it. Neurofunk as I know it is Spor, Noisia etc...and...how do I put this...yesssss!

Spor got me in to drum n bass, the Lifted Music podcasts with chris renegade and spor are soo good, before Spor took off to become Feed Me haha

Interested to hear what fish people have next on their list. For me that anticipation and looking in to the fish in more detail, planning the tank etc is pretty hard to beat, until you actually get them haha

So what's everyone's next project and why?

Cheers man, been loving it hey really chilled friendly group. Only other person I'd talk fish with before is my housemate, now I've got a practically unending source of reading and conversation haha. Checking the forums is a good break when I'm at work or studying too!

White, for the same reasons Redevilz mentioned

If you decide to go black substrate though I'd add some plants for contrast
