Couldn't believe how easily the ball was coming out.
Credit where credit is due. Eagles put on an unbelievable amount of pressure.
That forward line press is very impressive. I'd like to see it get challenged by a team like Geelong or collingwood though.
Eagles need to be sure not to rely on that though. It's really good. But it will get found out. Just like all game plans do eventually.
Injuries are hurting us but that's no excuse. We were second to the ball all game.
I do think though that ballantyne could have had a big impact in that game though. His speed and ability to get through tackles and break lines is awesome. As well as his tackling pressure. He could have really lifted the side I think.
Very frustrating to see another season go out the window in 2 weeks. Let's face it if you don't finish top 2 or at least top 4 it makes it near impossible to make it deep into the finals. And to make top 4 you can only afford a couple of losses for the season. We already have three. Very disappointing given the potential at the start of the season.
But I'll stay faithful. Can be a tough life sometimes haha

Another great performance from West Coast today. The Doggies didn't look hungry for the ball at all which we seemed to capitalize on every situation. Luke Shuey had an awesome game and of course Kennedy with his 10 goal haul. Bring on the next derby smile.gif

Was at the game - epic win. The atmosphere just went electric in the final qtr building up to JK's 10th and the goals were rolling in. Fantastic display!

I'm not expecting to win against the pies, but I'm excited to see that maybe the Eagles will be able to give them something to think about.

I reckon we will give the pies a good run. Then 3 'easy' games the following 3 weeks.

I remember watching the Melbourne game, at the end when they do the next 4 games.
It was Essendon, Freo, bulldogs and collingwood.

And they were saying how difficult a run it is, and to see if the eagles have improved from last year they would have to win at least 1 of those.
I wonder if they think we've improved huh.gif

I guess the pies game coudln't have come up and a better time.

The commontators today were contemplating the rest of the Eagles year and consider West Coat a serious top 4 contender and atleast a top 6 finisher. It was quite enjoyable to listen to them discuss how good a team West Coast was for them to watch and how much of an improvement they have made.

I think this is a very clear example of what John Worsfold is trying to get out of his young West Coast side. Nice heavy tackling that sticks!! For those of you who don't know he was number 24 for the Eagles.

2:36 is my favourite

that's when footy was good to watch. None of this flooding, kick to kick, running down the clock, playing for free kicks rubbish - or 50 metre penalties for not sharing the same opinion as an umpire.
Sure you have to protect the players but most are on 6 figure salaries for doing something they love - I reckon they're being looked after just fine without turning the sport into a glorified version of basketball.

The Dockers just had their shit pushed in by Saint Kilda! That made me happy.

Is that really a necessary comment mate?

Yes eagles are playing much better than freo at the moment, but you dont have to make comments about every game!!

Do you see any posts last year about eagles getting the spoon? I doubt it - freo fans dont care about how the eagles are going! smile.gif
