Have Caquetaia Umbrifera been kept in WA?

Anyone had one personally?..

There are a few people on here who keep umbees Matty, never had them myself though. Definitely a few around smile.gif

Just out of interest I looked up the biggest umbee ever caught by a fisherman, the record is 80cm at aprox 12kg. That is a monster umbee!

They pop up for sale from time to time. I had one a few years ago, thing was amazing to look at and was a beast to boot!

Possibly the best fish I've ever kept, at the very least its in my top 5 😊

they are amazing, really would like a couple of them, anyone know of anyone that could possibly be selling ?

Clayton, apparently these fish are really tough too, take down some of the well renowned fighters around..?

I just want one or two to keep alone, they are gorgeous!

Yeah mate they are like the equivalent to an American mangrove jack. Very powerful fish, I got rid of mine cause I'm a dumb arse. It was smashing everything in its path and I was like waste of space keeping it by its own so I moved it on.
