Probably the only one we can get here in WA, and even then they seem to have thinned out a little.
'Chicla monoculous'
however I hear some new ones maybe on the rise, but be prepared to have deep pockets.

I sold my breeding pair to someone who will hopefully raise the fry as I simply couldn't be bothered, so I know there's still a decent breeding pair out there

I have been pretty slack with this. Moved most of my tanks. Broke a 6 footer and had some other issues. Im gonna look at shipping pbass again in the new year maybe. Got another little project on the go that takes priority.

Honestly I think some of the breeders charge way lot more than what they worth. Fishes that breed in hundreds and thousands should be dirt cheap.
If you lucky, you can find Monoculus for $50 at 6-8cms.
There are only 2 species available at the moment. Monoculus is the cheapest.

That's the problem with a lot of Americans and other substrate spawners, they can produce 100's / 1000's of fry and if not carefully distributed properly they flood the market dropping the price, lessening the demand and eventually becoming scarce. Releasing smaller batches to the shops at a better price rather than mass numbers at too low of a price sometimes a smarter move.Honestly I think some of the breeders charge way lot more than what they worth. Fishes that breed in hundreds and thousands should be dirt cheap.
The adult size of the bass also works again them, not suited to the average size aquarium and temperament also becomes a challenge. People want to keep small numbers. You see plenty of unwanted large fish like oscars, devils, jags etc. getting traded in.
