Currently have 180L community tank with Cardinal and Red Phantom Tetras, Silver Hatchetfish, Apistos and a Discus pair. At work I have my nano with 1 male show grade Betta, Mini Rasboras and native Chameleon Shrimp.

Where To Get Soft Dark Coloured Sponge?
02 August 2014 - 12:01 PM
Hi all,
I have a 34l nano in which I keep a Betta and his companions. The filter outlet on the tank emits quite a strong current so I like to use a piece of sponge to soften and spread the current.
I was using coarse black internal filter sponge as the colour is neutral, but my Betta would rub himself on it and tear his fins. I'm now using a piece of yellow cleaning sponge which is better for him but looks ugly.
Does anyone know where I can get soft sppnge that is black or a very dark colour? I was thinking of buying a sponge filter and butchering it, but it seems like a waate of money if I can otherwise buy just the sponge.
Looked at Bunnings but all are light colours.

Live Adult Brine Shrimp?
29 July 2014 - 10:09 AM
Hi all.
Just wondering if anybody knows where somebody might find adult brine shrimp? I used to buy them at Vebas but they're longer available. I don't really have the patience to grow them myself and just need a few occasionally as a treat for my Betta.
Thanks

Sold: Plants And Cleanup Crew

*All gone, thanks all*
Hi all,
Planning to shut down the big tank this weekend, and I have a few plants left. All relatively easy-care, but create lots of aquascaping options.
I have:
Large Amazon Swords: $10 ea (have 2)
Ludwiga: $5 a bunch (have 2 bunches worth)
Red Ludwiga: $5 a bunch (I have lots, easy to make lots of cutttings, grows like crazy!)
Water Sprite: $2 large, $1 small (pretty plant, great for breaking current and providing shelter for small surface fish - grows and propagates fast!)
Small Java Ferns: $3 each (have 3)
Tall Vallis: $3 a bunch
I also have lots of other hardware and other bits and pieces.
PM me or call 0423042894 if interested. Pick up from Hamilton Hill.
Thanks

Fair Price For Moss-Covered Driftwood?
01 July 2014 - 08:24 AM
Hi all,
Just wondering what a fair price for a large piece of driftwood with an established colony of attached Java Moss would fetch? I'm shutting down my tanks and have a few very nice pieces... just want to know what a reasonable price would be.
Thanks
