I agree it wasn't one of my more tactful posts but I don't see it as an attack and am not embarrassed by it - wtf. I didn't call anyone names or threaten them. I simply asked why buccal insistently kept answering questions on others behalf and why he felt the need to respond with what he thought my response would be. I don't think it's unusual for me or anyone else to feel annoyed by that and I hardly picked up a bat and whacked him over the head - pmsl. I might have to go join the girl scouts forum because fishkeepers are way too sensitive for me to interact with.

However, I'm genuinely sorry buccal that these questions have upset you so much. Obviously we don't see eye to eye and have very different views about the hobby and fishkeeping in general - doesn't have to be a big deal. I have no problem with you posting here if that's what you want to do, but you're going to have to grow some thicker skin, especially if you're going to intentionally antagonise me with comments like "big boy of the big boys club" or that other one about being wise - lol. You take it so personally when someone else has a different opinion to you, like it's an affront to your intelligence or your appointment as an "authority on fishkeeping". Just relax a bit and lose the chip on your shoulder that drives you to be always right - it's an unecessary pressure you place on yourself, which makes it so hard for anyone else to have input, lest they hurt your feelings and end up in a non-sensical debate until you're satisfied that you look like you know what you're talking about again.

And johnno, PCS committee is not the military and if it were, I would be a foot soldier.

Answering questions on behalf of others ????, isn't that what happens on all cichlid discussion sites ????,,,, the person asked the question in the first place can still answer.
More people intervening = more active members with maximum expansion in knowledge.
Your attendance and mods on subjects these days seem to be ever more on everything but fish.

To be honest I don't really feel picked on,,, as well as loving cichlid forum intervention,,, it's my very little spare time I actually get to sit down is when I log in.
I go to work at 3.30am every morning (carpentry),,,, then come home to my breed room and get out of there sometimes at 10 o'clock at night, even 11 pm.
I put double time in to keep cichlids spewing out to oz.

So I don't feel really that much picked on,,, it's just a delicate balance wether I choose to show on here or not to help promote cichlids,
Most of all,,, I'm not a sook for Christ sakes,,,, my skin is thicker than a crock.
It's simply as I said before,,, I don't want the people that matter to me to have their thoughts swayed of me in any way.

I think you mods actually do a great job,,,, but there is some sort of literacy trigger happy empowerment going on.

Poncho,, you say seeing eye to eye,,, come on, fish keeping isn't the matter of one way for every one thing.
Explore all possibilities and probalities wether right or wrong to make use of any info,,, for experienced or the rookies.
Hell,,,, I've learnt stuff from people that have kept fish for no more than a year.

The problems here occur instantly when you disagree,,, you have some how described me as doing your actions.
In any subject on this forum,,, I have never ever turned around and said to anyone using their users name singling out and tell them about the way they go about things is rediculous or wrong.

The trigger of the last episode was so called intervening and me saying geo can be kept in a bare bottom tank for the advantages of a bare bottom just after you had reccomded fine/medium substrate.
That's it there it is,,,, both work,, both are separate techniques,,, but your rights ness illudes you.

I am certainly no princess, I have a full complete demanding life,, an extreme to the max go getter.
I've started out with nothing,,,, all my goals, wants and needs I achieve.
I am not short of friends and in no search for forfillment.
Like I said,, it was always a delicate edge as to wether I'm on here or not.
I promise I'm not upset with anyone here,,, it's more reasoning and business implications.

Met buccal the other day.
Hands down the greatest most knowledgeable fish keeper I have met. An excellent array of quality healthy fish from all caps of fish keeping.
I can not thank you enough for the fish tour, wisdom and new stingray pup mate (she's a ripper).... Really appreciated it

Plus three.

This forum is of no use to me anymore. Just a heap of little girl keyboard warrior wankers. You've all wrecked it. It was fun for a while.

But saying that.... It has definitely left me with some VERY Knowledgable friends that I can go and interact with in real life, such as Mark and Johnno and a few others.

I'm keepin more and cooler fish than ever now beacause of the connections I've made from both of these Gents. But I don't feel like sharing it on here anymore as I've made enough friends who are as enthusiastic fish keepers as my self and I will welcome them into my house any day to have a look and a chat.

You guys obviously don't like each other. Sort it out in person. Not on here on PMing each other.

I miss Buccal's posts too. Frankly, from my recent experiences this forum nowadays is no different to all the facebook groups I am on where immature people can get away by insulting/bagging on others and then leave. Forums members were supposed to behave like civilised adults. I have been subject to this too unfortunately.

And this club/forum confusion should be settled by differentiating them. I don't have to feel inferior to others because I am only a forum member. Admins should not look the other way just because there is a sponsor or your close buddy involved. There is a need for impartial system.

Every post of yours ive read is you whining mate. Perhaps you wouldnt have people retorting if you contributed positively to the forum.
Stop crying, this is a good forum with good people. Some times people get narky, get over it thats life, deal with it, maybe even ask yourself what you might be doing wrong.
Also I reckon you are the only person who has been confused about forum/club membership in the 5 years I have been a member of this forum.

If people are getting narky, something should be done about it. Me and other members don't have to just deal with it. This is where some have become complacent. This is another issue I want to address.

It says in the terms and conditions of the forum.

The PCS reserves the right to exclude individuals from membership, society events and/or access to the online forum if found to be responsible for profanity, insults or defamation directed at a PCS Club member, event/forum participant or the society itself, within any public arena. Any posts that are detrimental to the harmony of this forum (for example including, but not limited to, post with racist, xenophobic, hateful or bullying content) will not be tolerated.

I am not a PCS club member but I hope as a forum member we have full rights too.

Of course you have rights, but you cant sit there making 10 whining posts in a row, get a reaction, then report everyone replying to you.

Why you feel like you have less rights than others is beyond me.

You have joined a free forum and are complaining that you cant enter competitions to receive prizes.

Any reasonable person wouldn't have an issue with that.

Pay the $25/year and enter competitions.

Don't pay and you have full access to the forum.

You are a forum member, not a club member.

You are not entitled to ANYTHING from the club.

The only narky person I have seen on here in the last couple of days is you, so what exactly would you like us to do about yourself?

For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.
As I have said, sometimes self reflection is a good idea rather than just playing the victim.

Yes I am feeling a bit sensitive in the past few days. The reports were made accordingly to the way members were behaving not because I had intended them to. I apologize if I have come across as too whiney but maybe it was needed to be said.

The comp thing was an announcement error as few mentioned later on that took me a while to understand as i was in the middle of a suggestion I made that some reacted to very differently.  But that is settled now.

Jesus, is every thread these days Myste619 getting in a fight with someone? I'm only new here, came for the fish but all I see is this... Literally the last three topics I've opened have been pretty much the same, This thread, photo thread, exotic shrimp thread, tankbusters, who has the largest tank on the forum etc etc etc

Just everyone kiss and make up already, you're dragging the forum down with the petty banter.
