Thought I would put up some progress pics for anyone who's interested.

Pic 1 is 2 Jan, limited fish as tank was quite new and the setup cost me a small fortune.
Running a 5000lph pond cannister filter and 7500lph pump.
Tank is 3m x 700mm x 750mm 1500L. It was in the house when I bought it.

The second is Jan 24, with the addition of a couple of terraccota pots really the only change.

1st Feb I moved all the rock trying to find a suitable spot, with 100kg of rock it still looks empty. I also added the bubble curtain. I got sick of looking at all the crap behing the tank so tried the blue background, it turned out ok. Fish stock are slowly growing too.

24th of Feb saw the addition of about another 30kg of limestone, some more plants and some more fish.

Round flat fish are too sensitive for me sorry, I need hardy self sufficient fish that look after themselves while I'm away at work. The missus just feeds em while I'm away and so far they're all good.

Looking to add plenty more to get me up the around the 100 mark but it's slow going still. Now that I have started this thread I will keep the updates more regular and detailed.
The tank seems to have settled down now too, I had a bit of a spike a little while ago but now the levels are staying pretty steady. All the fish seem happy and they actually swim like one big school sometimes, is this normal for different species to swim together like that?

Anyway thanks for the comments.

Cheers

Yeah no worries.
Just dropped in a large wood feature, when it decides to stay sunk I will get some pics, the water is changing colour already after 24hrs so it might be a while before it statrs to clear up again.
Also just picked up another 5 Blue Dolphins so up to 9 of those now, will pick up in the next couple of days another 5 Taiwan Reef's and 5 Mdoka white lip.
Stocks are starting to make a dent in the tank and it doesn't look so empty.

Cheers
