I used to breed Hongi and Red Humps about 8 years ago... And then sold them to breed Zebra Long Pelvics and Frontosa about 4-5 years ago.
I then sold all of them to grow my mangrove jack who unfortunately is now rested in my freezer. I still cant part with him.
Anyway after having an empty tank for about 2 years i just picked up one on sunday my first smallish tank basically a 2ft cube.
4 J. Regani at the moment unsure what else i will put in.

Your regani would love that setup, especially when they breed.
Good job.

Still stumped as to what else i can put in there besides occies...
I am hoping the java moss attaches to the read wall... and i would LOVEEE to see somthing cruising right up to the surface and stuff and chilling around through the tank
What about nigripinnis.. they still around? and are they open water kind of fish or more cave dwelling?

Welcome back!
Have you got any more of that 3d background left? Would like nice if it continued on in front of the built-in filter.
Checked out my Tang cube thread as yet? - http://www.perthcich...showtopic=30031
Go for some Alto's I reckon, a must for a cube!

As for the short grassy like plant, its called Blyxa Japonica. If thats just standard sand its in it wont last too long as it needs decent lighting and a good amount of ferts. HTH.

Time to try some taxidermy??
There's a dude on MonsterFishKeepers that does Skeleton Mounts.
Would look pretty cool, and less chance of an accidental Mangrove Jack fish curry
