I forgot I had this original thread so i will add to it here........I added a new Aquamedic glass diffuser today and boy what a difference it makes! Much better than that cheap and nasty glass diffuser i had in previously. I also added some black airline to the setup.....the clear stuff was leaking a fair bit of Co2.

Filled in a little bit (have not been running Co2 since January so growth was was a bit slower than i prefer. But i got myself into gear and got my 3.5kg bottle filled biggrin.gif

Okay....now i have added Red Millfoil and a Red Tiger Lotus thanks to the Doc. The Lotus has shot through 2 new leave in just under a week of being in the tank.....must be loving the dino dung biggrin.gif

no need for payment - consider it returning the favor for the help (and plants) you (and the others) have given to me.
i'll bring one in next time i come into the shop (maybe this saturday or the next)

Thanks Paul smile.gif The tank has been a bit neglected as of late due to other commitments but that's the bonus of a planted tank, once established they are very self sufficient.

I got a Tri-Coloured lotus today, thanks Jezza......I will post up updated photos in the next few days.

Paul, co2 isnt a necessity on planted tanks but it does have its purpose. Co2 wont work properly on its own......plants still need certain nutrients in the water. Personally i have opted for co2 and i think its great.....providing all your other parameters are met first wink.gif

$250 ohmy.gif I WISH mine was that cheap! Times that by 4 and you are about there for my particular system......

Here is a good little Article off of the AQUOTIX website, have a read of this and you will have a much better understanding smile.gif

I managed to get a stem of Tonia a few weeks ago and its settling in nicely.....i will trim it tomorrow and see if i can get a good supply going for a few people i owe favours to.....yes Jezza I havent forgotten tongue.gif There is a large amount of Red Millfoil in the back left hand side but did a major trim last week so it will take a week or so to come back in full swing.

Im getting very very bored with this scape and some of the plants are just getting thrown in wherever they will fit...this is the downfall of only owning 1 tank and having it only 30litres sad.gif

Pellia and Shrimplet

Any suggestions for a new scape?
