Thanks guys.

Dano the seat will be going right in the middle of all the tanks.
I am thinking of having the 3 tier near the doorway and then more long tanks across the wall, so I can sit in the middle and be surrounded by fish!
The Acuticeps are breeding, but the females tend to only hold eggs for a couple of days.
I might have to get an egg tumbler soon...

Hey Andrew, I just read this, if you still need a hand with the tanks let me know, you have my number or send me a PM.

Nice shed, freezer panels are solid and save messing with insulation, its the best way to go IMO, I used 75mm because my walls get no direct sun on them because I have patio all the way around the room and I can say they seem to do a great job.

Btw what will you do about lighting? I cant see any windows to let light in? also what about ventilation? I know with my fish room it gets very humid in there sometimes, I open the slide door or my windows to let some fresh air in.

Cheers

Thanks for the comments guys.

Den I was wondering when I built it about ventilation. I figured I would try without and and see how it goes.
Another advantage of the coolroom panels is that if you need a window, you just buy a window frame and cut out the hole with a jigsaw.
Currently I leave the door open during the day and close it at night. If it gets too hot I will swap my system around.
That lets the air vent and lights up inside.
Artificial lighting is still a work in progress, I just need to finish uni so I have more time for projects!

8 Foot is in biggrin.gif
Its all a bit messy at the moment, but it is getting there.

You can see half the trolley I made to move tank in.
With just the two of us we moved the tank stand and gravel all in one go. It took 20 minutes. laugh.gif
Afterwards we sat back and wondered why I never made a trolly up earlier
So many moves we could have saved time and our backs!

Had a big scare while filling it up, I was sitting in the study and heard a loud BANG, you know that instant thought of "Oh crap, maybe I didnt get it perfectly level, that tank better not have let go" ohmy.gif But it was just the shed door swinging open, I hadnt closed it properly so the hose could get in and the wind caught it. blush.gif

Next time someone posts on here wanting help to move a big tank, you should offer to hire out that trolley

Hmmm, I might get my $25 investment back!
Although the fact neither of us got a hernia yesterday kind of pays itself off!

Cheers Guys.

The coolroom panels are amazingly sturdy too.
I had some mates over after a visit to the pub and they were checking it out, so I decided (after a few beers) to show off how strong it was by body slamming the wall... Nearly broke my shoulder! biggrin.gif

Cheers guys.

BiGz: I went to Bondor in Canningvale direct to buy them.
But if you want to buy second hand there are a few places in Welshpool you can go.
Or just go round as many coolroom manufacturers you can find and ask them for offcuts.
But most of them get the panels made to order directly off Bondor.

Austral Insulation in Malaga also do cool-room panels, and are much cheaper than Bondor.

Syd.

Thanks. How did you go with council permission? Id have to check but quite sure I have to have a shed that meets certain build standards so just makes me wonder on the DIY aspect of it all. I'd much rather do this than a regular shed lined with foam which was my intention.

Thanks Syd. Will look into it. Great considering I live close to malga.
