New Family in my tank. Introduced last week and one of the lucky spieces (also electric blue, E.yellow and lambardi) that survived from the white spots.

RIP to black acei, dolphins and red empress.

Hi Richard
You have a vast range of fish in that tank. I hope you are aware of the different requirements for each, especially the duboisi.

The father was a Johanni but the babies could belong to anything in the aquarium you got him from.

In anycase, your babies are not purebred M. Johanni, as the Fry come out orange with a brown streak through the body. (I can show you pics if requested of mine).

I would not recommend to sell off your fry as they are potentially hybrids.

Hey all,

After I have got a new canister filter, I think it is time to take some photos! tongue.gif

The new blue plant tube:

Breeding setup for EY and EB (maybe for red empress too? but I doublt it because the Male is slightly smaller than the 2 females. And this may also be the reason why the male doesn't color up 100% yet. It is about 12-13cm but the black line on it's body is still visable):

The EY mounatin:

EB and EYs:

Since there are too many negative feedback from the pots: some says the pot is not necessary for breeding, some says it looks unnatural, etc.... and I think I need rocks for those smaller fish in my tank. As I have bought geo liquid today (heard many positive feedback with geo liquid lately), I have changed water and moved all my rocks back in.

It does look better now tongue.gif

My red empress decided to go on stage:

your tank is very classy with all those mouthbrooders id suggest maybe some syndotis multipuncus very active fish that would just love to cling onto all of the lime stone maybe if you added back that piece of driftwood it look alot attractive but from that i realy like your tank and hope ure fish are happy and healthy look forward to seeing some more pics

cheers ben

Thanks Clint!

hehe I'm actually quite happy of my tank now. I think I got enough fish already sad.gif Maybe I will get some black or red cichlids (except peakcocks).

Hehe anyone can think of any? I got black acei before and they were pretty good. But they died from white spots....
