julidichromis? i think a largish pr of these would be ok in the corner of the tank, just so long as they arent too agrro and will not be a meal size for the fronts, i kept leleupi with mine at one stage.

Yeh theres a couple of people on cichlid-forum.com who are keeping leleupi with the fronts.

Lee, how did you find the two went together?
Im thinking of doing the same.

well my situation was only temporary, and in the short time they were together the leleupi stayed right out of the way of the fronts. I think that it was an alright combination, the tank they were in was only a 4 ft so in a 6x2 like yours BF, i think there would be no probs.

I am wondering the same question as well, because I want to start up a tank with frontosa but I want a variety of other fish in there as well.

I've never seen a calvus in perth before apart from one that was not for sale at city farmers :lol do we get them over here ofter or are they rare and expensive? I want one...

I've been checking for a reply on this thread each day but havn't seen one yet :nsg

But I just realised I have said what I recommend from my internet research.

These are the fish I've heard you can mix with fronts: Calvus, D.Comps, Lelupi and C.Moorri

i have some c.moorii with mine at the moment but that is only coz i havn't sold them yet, d.comps would be a very bad idea as they are from lake malawi like the dolphins and require different water conditions to strive.

go out to aquatix in caningvale and have a look at the calvus:good

...the first and last fish are from lake Malawi...I think you mean the other Alto(compressiceps) and V.moorii(was N.moorii).

Frontosa are a fish which chills all the time and is cool. But i have relized that fast moving malawis are not what they like!!!

yeh I meant A.comp sorry, I have heard that C.moorii go well although I disagree because they are malawi...

What size calvus do you have at Aqautix and how much for?

since researching this a bit more I've had quite a few people say that its best to just keep them in a species tank, because I can't get any straight answers on this maybe keeping them in a single species tank is the best. What does everyone else think, should they only be kept with other fronts?

get some clown loaches and gibbiceps and stuff like that it mixes up your tank a bit and the fronties won't mind a bit:good

it would be best in a single species tank but if you wanted other types with it you could try some neolamprologus brichardi
