Nope, no Jan meeting as people are probably going to be a little "sleepy" after new years ;)

YES!

Sorry, its been changed, apparently we ALWAYS have a January meeting - it is on the 6th January at the Park Centre as normal. Iain McGregor is going to tell us about the proposed government legislation on the moving around of fish! Sounds like they're going to make it harder just to move them interstate!

Worth the effort of getting there I would think!

Hmm yeah sorry guys, i didn't know that! ;)

Sounds like an interesting talk... It would be a bummer to have them make it harder to move existing fish interstate...

:wall

As long as we don't have to start getting written approval from fisheries to translocate a non endemic species into WA we'll be fine, just like the aquculture industry has to do here.

Thanks government for trying to screw us fish keepers again :nsg

I was wondering, i know you have fish judging comps, and you bring your fish in for that, but would it be ok if i brought in my favourite fish. Not to show off but he has a nasty disease, and as inexperienced as i am, i'm unsure how to treat it. Maybe someone could give me a diagnosis, he's had it for going on 2-3 weeks and whilst its not terminal at the moment, it is getting progressively bigger.

He has some nice colouration though :-) , it would be sad to lose him.

thnx,

I'd bring it in...
Theres bound to be someone there that has had a similar issue with their own fish.

See you all on Tuesday :)

by all means bring him in, everybody hates losing their favourite fish!

Hi Colleen,
Sorry I missed you on icq the other night - was afk.
I hope you guys all had a great chrissy and new year too.
Speaking of this meeting, would there be any notes available from yourself or Iain on these new changes? It would be great if us Easties were kept up to date as well - this stuff could affect all of us in the long run - thanks :good

I will make a point of taking notes for you, and finding out where the information comes from.

Cheers'

It would be great to see a few fish on the show table for a change.
If the sick fish is the only one there it could take out first prize

Sure Scott, it would have gone out with your newsletter for December, which you apparently didn't receive. I'll look into getting a new one. Are you going to meeting tonight?
