What are people keeping, what are they like, special care etc.
I have started thinking about my next pond project mostly because im gonna need a home for a growing murray cod. Just curious what others are doing though.

Silver Perch?
Are you keeping silvers in your AP setup? I've got 8 15 -25cm silvers at the moment. Not sure if i should keep them or go with something else.

At the moment I have about 30 x 500 - 800 gram Rainbow Trout.
Don't know what I am going to do in summer, maybe the Silver route, also thinking something from left field like Mangrove Jacks...

My mate used to keep a big Murray (about 70cm) cod in a small lake on his farm. He had a roof over to stop leaves falling in and birds coming in. There was a fence around it so other animals couldn't come in. He had a fountain and 2 giant canister filters for filtration.
Thats a hell of a lot of work... What happened to the cod?

Jacks would be awesome but would they not be to intolerant of each other for AP?At the moment I have about 30 x 500 - 800 gram Rainbow Trout.

Ive been thinking a little left field too.. kinda thinking about some archers and a sleepy cod or barra over summer and put em inside over winter. Problem with that is i hate juggling stock and tanks. Especially with big fish.

Jacks could be done i reckon but you would need to have a fairly high stocking density to avoid/distribute aggression.

Interesting though. I gotta wonder, who would catch a brasillienses then think to eat it? Not exactly a high profile eating fish, well not at my local chippy anyway... Unless the snapper isnt really snapper!

Should give it a go... if it doesnt work out, well you should have at least few honkin big jacks to move at a decent price.75 in 2000 litres?
Honestly, it sounds like too hard basket to me but i would love to see someone give it a go!
