Hi all,

just wondering what peoples views and opinions are on an app called tapatalk?

It's an app that makes forum browsing a lot easier from your smart phones.

One of the reptile forums I frequent uses it and I'm almost always on it on my phone because it's simple and easier to use than safari.

If possible, I think it would be a good thing for this forum too

What do you guys think?

I was going to post a topic asking if there's been any thoughts on tapatalk then saw this, thought I'd just necro/bump this instead if that's ok? if not, oops

 

I use tapatalk (on android) for a few forums I frequent as I find it quite a great app for forum use but sadly PCS isnt on there. Has the PCS forum been upgraded from IPBoard 2.x? and/or has there been any thoughts on tapatalk implementation?

One thing I thought might be worth mentioning is that you can search for forums on tapatalk and I've found a few through it so it might in turn bring more members to the PCS board and might also increase activity with current members if they've got easier mobile access (and notifications for when you get a PM or a response on a subscribed thread)

Even if it's somehow locked to club members only it might provide another reason for premium membership and supporting the forum/club.

It is supported with this software.

I thought it would work.

 

I don't use it myself so guess so have never tested it.

I'll have a play one day when I have time and see if I can get it working if it isnt

Tapatalk loves adding scripts to the forum asking people to download and use their software if you log on with a mobile device.
I have tried to remove them all as it is a PITA for those who prefer using their mobile browser.

So you may get one message coming up asking if you want to use it.
If it appears and you wish not to, you should be able to select a box saying not to ask again.
If you continue getting a message, please pm me with a screen shot of the message and i will try to remove the script.
