Hi Jerome,
You could hunt around near the quarries in the escarpment (ie. Orange Grove area) BUT it is illegal to remove "bush" rock. Actually that area has some really nice pieces of "snowball" granite which is quite rare and known to come from there.

I can get hold of some granite.....
I know a place where some bits are broekn off and if i scourage around i can find soem nice aquarium pieces!

Hi Jerome,
I haven't been out looking for years, but if I were you I would start at the Readymix Quarry. If you get permission then you avoid the repercussions of "collection" the other way.
