A couple of video updates. Ignore the music, I needed something to cover up my Darth Vader breathing wink.gif

My blackbelt and is synspilum are back after a holiday at Uncle Sam's. And they brought their Texan friend back with them.

Awesome man!

Glad they fit in well. The black belt and his Texan friend looked to have coloured up nicely and loving life! Synsipilum hiding in the dark corner... Probably scared of that punk ass GG!

Also what do you mean don't mind the music? It's a great selection!

Happy birthday for tomorrow as well mate.

Experimenting with a multi-colour LED strip in the cave area of the tank to add some subtle light.

With the IR remote you can adjust light-level, set individual colours, turn ON & OFF or use flash or fade options.

EDIT - I added some captions. If u can't see them try the full link - http://youtu.be/5QCo0pz3Ivk?hd=1

I can understand the appeal in quirky themed tanks but it seems you have gone through a lot of effort (and $$$) to make the tank look natural.

Why do that and then get this?

hey Daz are there chaitika and moops in the tang display? Hard to see with all the dashing around the T's do...both set-ups look fantastic bro...well done...i like the light yellow or lime greenish led light in the cave...looks like a natural fade into the cavey gloom smile.gif

Not really sure what that means Sam but found a few definitions on UrbanDictionary and I dunno about that...... LOL

@ Anka - don't fear the pretty lights wink.gif I don't plan on using the disco mode. Am liking the light orange or aqua blue at the moment. It should look pretty special (but not too radical) when looking at the tank as a whole.

@ Dan - yep Chaitika and Moops correct. Might add some young ikola in there too.

Some pics of the coloured LEDs. The 1st 2 colours being my preferred. In the first pic with no light the tank looks incomplete IMO (makes it look more like a 5ft rather than 6ft).

Think "cave effect" when looking at these.

LED off

Light orange

Aqua blue

Deep blue

Red

Green

Love the aquascaping, I don't care for that LED lighting much though, may as well hang tinsel off the stand. wink.gif

Haters gonna hate. Can you cycle through selected colours on the LED slowly? Like a slow cycle through reds only?

I love the shadow effect you've created with that blockout not much of a fan of the led colours but something subtle like the orange would be my pick of the colours.
Flashing red and green would be nice for the fishies on xmas day smile.gif

Not that I know of ($20 doesn't give too many features wink.gif)

Orange still my fav as it's not overpowering and blends in well. I think the colour adds to the cave effect rather than adding more white light.
