Has anyone kept jacks in their tanks?

i use to have one of these awsome fish and i highly recomend them. becareful what you have with them though wouldnt recomend cichlids excepts jags ect.

my mate had a mangrove jack in his tank...absolutely stunning fish looked even better because my mate was using special light globes.
He was keeping it with saratogas.

From what I understand Mangrove Jacks move into brackish/ salt water when they get older. Do you have to change the water conditions as the fish grows?

iv seen very large ones in fresh water so i dont think so

I dont think its essential but they will definitely do better with alittle salt added

i heard that it is esentail to change the salintitly to brackish when the reach around 30cm :?

You might be right the alec ive never kept them up to that size but have been told by others that theyve kept them in full fresh but IMO i also think that'd better to add salt.
i've seen them in vebas before but they havent had them for quite a while.
I brought some from over East months ago you should of got me then havent seen any around recently, good luck.
