Do Adult Koi Eat Small Koi

i have bought 3 small koi - about 2 1/2 cam each, at the moment I have them in house in aquirium - can these be put into the pond with my 20 cm koi or will they be eaten?

If they can catch them they will eat them, koi will eat anything that will fit in their mouths.

hi there, i have 14 koi ranging from 20cm to 63cm and there is 10baby koi at 8 to 10 cm and they havn't eaten one yet ,been 6 months in there now.if you feed 2 to 3 times a day ,no problem.

Koi never really try eat each other ive had 5cm koi in with 75cm koi and never had any issues mind you I didn't keep an exact number on the koi in the pond as it was a few 100 to 1000.
But as with half of what ice said if it fits in its mouth it may become dinner but this is out of clumsiness of the bigger koi when eating and the smaller koi getting in the way of the food.
But with those sizes I think you would be fine.
