Hey,

i have always been a sucker for ponds so i have decided im going to constuct 2 new ponds, the first pond will be built with a nice garden and BBQ Area filled with Koi,

The Second pond will be built inodoors to house my Fresh water rays once i get some, the pond will be about 50-80cm deep about 2-4 mts across 3-4 long the big question is heating it, with out dying from the cvost of power.

Cheers

it is sorta cost efficient if you have heaters in i seperate tank, and water slowly moving through.

i have 4 300Watt heaters heating a sump system of 5600L and the 1000L filter is outside along with tonnes of pipework, and the water is 24-25

The Koi pond will be about 3-4mts wide about 8-10 long in a sort of L shape around the patio. Filters big bio box style with a water fall at one end when the water fall isn't running there will be a tap to direct flow around the pond. The fish will be varying sizes.
