Hi there,

I have a community tank set up in my bedroom and when I woke this morning I found about 20 little eggs just below the surface of the tank water. I was wondering if anyone could help me narrow down my suspect(s)

The inhabitants (In which there is more than one of):

1. 3x Eel tails (Nope)
2. 3x Dwarf gouramis (They build bubble nests as far as i know, so nope)
3. 5x Young Peppermints, biggest being 7cm. (Not their style?)
4. 6x Fat albino corydoras. (Unsure)

5. 10x 3cm EY fry (Nope)
6. 3x Mature glass cat fish (?)

Any ideas?

The eggs are white and about 1.5mm in diameter at most. Most eggs look eaten but a few are still intact.

Cheers

Yeah I'd go with Cory. Are they a bit less fat today? Did you do a large water change resulting in temperature drop yesterday? Did you notice the corys in a T position?

No T formation but they are looking less fat and there looks to be four different lots of eggs.
I did a large water change and half drained the tank as there is a crack in the bracing. (All of which occurred with the lid open so a temp change is mroe than likely to have happened)

Cheers

Since there laid on the glass, they must be glass catfish eggs.

Unrelated question, how big is the tank/eel tails.
Don't they want to eat the corys?
Or am I thinking of another catfish...

Five foot 300L tank, the eel tails are too busy chasing one another around to even eat the feeders I have fed them in the past.
That and my Corys are rather mature.
