Things must have changed then. I remember a few years ago, there was a stir when Steve Starling was fishing down south and released a Redfin he caught back on one of the fishing programs. I remember there was quite a stir on one of the radio programs about it.

do you reckon redfin perth will breed in a pond??? or dam??? well the dam is prob a silly question as they breed in the weir..... maybe a small dam??

I have a 7,000lt pond that they breed in.
I manliy just breed them for the table.
I got some guppies that i bred up then put the whole colony in there as live food and they still are breeding strong in the pond as well.
And theres marron on the bottom.

That's because you're not allowed to release them into local waterways, even if you catch one yourself.
