To start it off:

Hey Matt,

Didn't David Bottrill who produced some Tool stuff produce some King Crimson stuff as well? Maybe its the producer you like the sound of?

He worked on the album Thrak and for Tool it was Aenima, Lateralus and Salival from memory. I'm not sure if you've heard King Crimson but they are somewhat different to Tool (and in some ways similar). King Crimson I enjoy because of the complexity of their music (their guitarist Robert Fripp - AMAZING) and Tool because they have such a great sound, great lyrics, gread drummer, great singer and great bassist. Sorry Adam Jones, your tremolo picking and drop D tuning does nothing for me tongue.gif

I can't resist making another connection here as well speaking of producers...one of my favourite artists is Peter Gabriel....
well Robert Fripp produced his second self titled album....

follow the White Rabbit (no reference to Jack here) and you will find that it is all connected...

Regards,

Donna

Actually I also have to mention my brother here. He has produced some amazing works with his recent producing set-up costing him over 12 grand.

I've been getting into a bit of RHCP's older music as of late.

As for you Dazza - I'm not familiar with any of your artists tongue.gif

Zappa sure knew how to name his children hey Donna tongue.gif

Opeth is a death metal band but I hate about 95% of death metal. The reason I like Opeth is that they're such damn good song writers and they don't sing about blood and gore etc. And on a plus side they're singer also has an amazing clean vox sound. If interested try any track off damnation.
