Sweest as Kev,
Cant wait to see pics of them,
Good luck with the holding female,
What size tank you got them in Kev?
And again good luck with them, they should colour up nicely,

Thanks matey!

I have them in a 2tier 4x14x18 rack. Getting another 6 Yellow Collars next week, courtesy of Mr. Awesome! LOL
The bottom 4fter (of the 2tier) will house 10 Lethrinops Longipinnis (also courtesy of Mr Awesome!) biggrin.gif

Let her have the mouthful Kev.... Don't strip her.

Hi Az/everyone!

The mouth of the female in question is quite big now... I think she's about a week away from spitting... should I put her in a rearing tank now or wait a few more days? The problem is, I'm going away for 5 days this coming weekend so do not want her to spit in the main tank...
Move her now/today? biggrin.gif

Cheers!
Kevin

i reckon you should move her to a nursery tank, let her spit there and leave her in the tank alone with the fry till you get back,
That could be the best way?

Anthony,

Just had a look at some of the shots from today...

My apologies as the shots of the Red caps aren't the greatest (I'll have to come back for some better shots), but the yellow collars came out ok I guess smile.gif

Thanks for dinner too, I don't think I need to eat for a week lol biggrin.gif

I was gonna put some pics up, but they're still small and don't have any colour.

I'll wait till they look like something lol.

The Longipinnis are still quite small (juvies) and have not coloured up as yet. I'll ask Ronny (or Daz) to come over when they've coloured up! wink.gif

Wasn't my fault...

Trang: "Ronny you wanna take some spring rolls home?"

Ronny: "No thanks, I've had heaps already"

Trang: "OK, you take the whole lot then"

Ronny: unsure.gif biggrin.gif

Hi folks!

I just did some water changes to my fish room and counted 5 female Yellow Collars currently holding! From the size of their mouths, I reckon they've been holding for about a week now. Woooot! smile.gif

Thanks guys!

Daz, why you think I've just ordered 4x 4x18x18 tanks & 2x 2tier racks? Dedicated Lethrinops racks! hehe biggrin.gif
My Longipinnis juvies are now a good size and have started to colour up. Can't say much for my Red Capuz... not having much luck with them breeding..but patience is virtue! smile.gif
