JackMack, get a clue! How hard is it for Rovik to say look guys, I don't have time to do what I put my hand up to do so can someone give me a hand or take over? Earlier, some members offered to help out which was turned down and now look. I'm not the one tarnishing the clubs reputation by not making deadlines and posting things like, "giving it 3 days so we can wrap this comp up" and then not doing it. How would you feel if there was an announcement for a club meeting on a certain day, rocked up only to find it wasn't organised and they just decided to do it later without notification? If the club was run like this, there wouldn't be a club. If Rovik can jump on and read comments, why can't he post comp results or entries etc? If you look, he was even on today but still no comp results.

You're acting like everyone is some elitist fish photographer that will throw tantrums if deadlines aren't met,
The reality of the matter is that Rovik has done a great job the entire time I've had a PCS account and I don't think his ability should be overlooked on the basis that he has his priorities in check.

If he wants to give the role to another member then so be it, if he doesn't - then it's up to him.

There would be a club believe it or not, and a majority of it's members would be at your theoretical meeting.. Seeing as no cancelation was announced.

But seriously, if you don't like how it's run then don't enter it.

Lets hope you don't put your hand up to help out with anything then lol.

I'm not saying it should be the most important thing in his life, but it also shouldn't be handled so poorly and left stagnant.

It really isn't that hard to take ten minutes out of your day to do what you said you would, especially if you're already on the forum doing what ever else.

You obviously didn't see what I was getting at even though I put it as simply as I could so I'll just leave that one.

Rather than sook about how the comp is run and not do anything about it, I've actually put my hand up to do it and make sure it's done well.

Then what exactly were you getting at, Ronny?
'Rather than sook about how the comp is run' That's pretty much all you did until Rovik obviously had enough and turned it over to you?

The committee members are volunteers. They put their hand up and volunteer to do a job. Each committee member has a role which in turn keeps the club running. If they don't do their job, things start falling apart and things go down hill.
Luckily, Rovik isn't in charge of anything of importance like organizing the meetings or auctions or liaising with sponsors etc.

I was one of the members who offered to help with the competition last year to keep it on track. That was turned down as Rovik said he would have more time to keep the comp on track. That never happened. So not only did he knock back the help, he let the comp slip even more.
You can say all you want and make out as if it isn't an issue, it only says more about you.

Perhaps I'll just leave it with Rovik then.

Enjoy the photo comp as it is ;)

I never said it wasn't an issue, I just think you are blowing it out of proportion.. which you are.
