Hi All,
I was not sure if I should post in here or the Cichlid Section? (if in the wrong place I will move.)
I have recently bought a new 6ftx2ftx2ft upgrading from a 6ftx14"x18" and I am currently considering the new set up.
My current tank is set up with white sand, 6 large river stones and some driftwood, the current stocking is a mix of left over fish from the last few years:
1 x 25cm Black Ghost Knife
1 x 10cm Yoyo Loach
1 x 7cm Petricola
20 x 3-6cm Bristlse Nose
30 x 5-6cm Red Line Torpedos
With the my new tank the 1 fish that absolutely must stay in the BGK as its my wifes favourite and I will be moving on my old tank so they will be no way else for it to go. The new tank came with 60L of Eco Complete which I am thinking of topping with and inch of white or black sand. Getting 4 more of the large river stones.
I would also like to have some green in the tank so thinking 5 or 6 Amazon Swords with some sort of moss attached to some stones and driftwood.
As far as stocking is concerned this is what I am thinking
1 x BGK
10 x Orange Head Tapajos
60 x Red Line Torpedos or 30 x Lemon Tetras
4 x BN (clean up crew)
6 x L134
I will be using an FX5 and internal power filter.
Some questions I have:
Will the tank be bigger enough for this stocking once all full grown?
Is it possible to drill into the river stones making caves for the plecos?
Should I go with Red Line Torpedos or Lemon Tetras?
Will 5 or 6 Amazon Swords be enough in the space given or should I look at more?
What would be the best moss for Wood and Stones?
Can I use super glue to attach moss? or would it damage the water quality?
Would white or black sand be better for showing the colour in the fish?
Thanks is advance to all for reading and replying
