Dear Diary (ugh no)
Well, it has been a while in the making... but I have finally decided the stocking and completed my build. And my decision was... well... every thing . There are just so many varieties of fish that I decided to go for the most basic groups of fish and create diverse environments close to one another but still so that a contrast can be made across the tropics of; Asia, Africa and America bringing together my favourite fish from each region.
The top tank is a 6 x 1'8 x 2'6 ~ 750 litres
The tank is fairly lightly stock but probably not for long. The tank comprises of (mainly) asian fish from indonesia (borneo/ sumatra) region with the exception of a small sailfin pleco.
The tank includes;
-3 fat clown loaches
-2 bala sharks
-2 5 banded barbs
-1 sailfin pleco
I have currently after my FX5 recently died, 2 Sicce Whale 500 canister filters running which seem to be doing fine as of currently.
The second (bottom left) is a Malawi tank! Always wanted one, so brilliantly blinding colours with fish always hungry like a marine tank without all the hassle. Ive only had this set in the last 15 days though as I got them as a present for christmas. I really have no experience with these fish but I like them already!! The tank is 3' x 2'6 x 2' and contains 355l
The tank has;
-3 Electric yellows
-1 Giraffe Cichlid
-2 Ruby Red Peacock
-3 Clown loach
The tank runs an Ehiem classic 2213 but am currently saving for a larger one.
The third and last tank is my American tank. The tank is the same volume and measures the same as the malawi one ( 3' x 2'6 x 2' and contains 355l) but is incredibly specified to a single American giant. My favourite fish which has captured my curiosity in the way that it moves and acts. This is of course my 30cm long Black Ghost Knife.
The tank contains;
-2 Bristlenose pleco
-1 Blackghost knife
Dues to such a small stocking the tank only runs a Atman 883.
Journal started, and I will update it in time.
