Hey everyone, how's it going. My name is Matt and I'm a new PCS member and also new to the hobby. I've been lurking on the forums for about a month now browsing the classifieds with a post here and there but joined as an official member last night. Hope to become more active now that I'm a member and about to set up my tank.

We've had goldfish (how boring) at home for a while but I never really took interest in fish until more recently. Definitely not fond of goldfish though and I'm not so sure that will ever happen though. I've been slowly acquiring goods for a set up and I have all the essentials, just waiting on some modifications to the stand that came with the tank I bought and the purchase of another canister filter. Currently seeding my filter media in the gold fish tank so I can have my tank cycled faster. Hoping to have that set up by the weekend and hopefully cycled within a fortnight to a month time. I was able to get a 6 x 1.5 x 2 for a decent price and looking to get an oscar or two along with a few synodontis catfish of some kind and a pleco of some kind. In the future, I would like to get a saratoga in the near future once I'm established in the hobby and feel ready. Hopefully by the time I graduate, find a job and move out then I hope to acquire an arowana and a much larger tank (400+ gallons). I also have an interest in peacock bass and bichirs. Been reading aquarium related forums and websites quite avidly lately to expose myself to more knowledge about the hobby. Made a list of fish and dry good related items that I would like to acquire in order to optimize my set up. So yeah, I have to say I've been bitten pretty hard by the bug.

Anyways that's just a bit about me (maybe more than just a bit) and what I have planned. Will definitely be seeing you guys around.
