Hi guys, I am happy to say I am getting back into fish keeping. 

 

I just put my 4'x18"x18" back together as a plant and barbs tank, (super happy to be able to use LED rather that metal halides) I have only just cycled my tank and upped the number of barbs. 

 

not much else to say, but HI EVERYONE. 

 

oh, I order a custom tank, 18'x18'x30".

Welcome. I'd be interested in the photos. Is it a deep rectangle or a shallow square?

sorry 18"x18"x30" (45x45x76.5cm) deep rectangle, 10mm glass.

and I have problems with dyslexia.

What do you have planned for the custom? I'm using LEDs too but I've gone the DIY route so it's a work in progress - still a bit dim, keep adding a few more each fortnight.

my plans keep evolving, but I want to find a hollow log or an awesome looking piece of driftwood that will run the full depth of the tank, Aquaclear 50 or Eheim Classic 2213,  I wanna use ADA aqua soil amazonia (normal) and ADA power sand.  plant it out and either put 20 neon tetra or 2 discus into it.  might try to make a sugar yeast co2 system too.

My tank so far.  I got the wrong lights off ebay so my tank looks pink, but the plants like it.

IMO you should get the 20 neon tetras in your custom. Discus prefer longer tanks in bigger numbers.
