Here are some pics from DAY 22
The water has cleared abit more and most of the plants are growing well.
I am happy with the R. Macaranda, as mentioned earlier, the leaves are nice and big and red.
Sorry this pic sucks. The flash just picked up everything on the glass and ..... Ok, Ok I admit, I can't take pic for nuts!

Thanks Andrea. It's coming along as planned, now only to wait for the cycling to be finished and to change enough water for the tannins to clear. Slow and steady I keep telling myself!
Can't wait to add more fish in!

your tank is looking great Alfred
I hate to put a damper on but tannins can take ages.....
The good news is its pretty harmless, just some people dont like the colouring.
I have read carbon can help clean it but i havent ever tried it.
Hows the ferts routine going?
Graeme

I got a pack of carbon from Matt, but have yet to put it in the filter. I have decided to wait for full cycle to take place then do 50% water changes every 3 or 4 days to clear it. It is not heavy and I am confident that a few water changes is all it will take.
