The thought had crossed my mind to just go home and catch a couple haha but im Pretty certain ya need a license to take live fish from the ocean/water sources for the purpose of selling or keeping as pets haha otherwise everybody would be doin it and shot wouldnt cost so much haha I've never seen any of the jacks from over east, however the estuary jacks I used to catch in Carnarvon were reddish brown with blue streaks, where as the open ocean jacks I'd catch whilst fishing off the boat in coral filled waters were a more vibrant red with brighter blue streaks. And I agree, they taste bloody Awsum and put up a huge fight!!! Haha

oh, i just remember where ive seen some..about 2-3 weeks ago theres a little place down in baldivis it more of a pond place but inside they had 2 little jacks and a hand full of baby barra's..lotus blossoms i think its called, i would call first, you dont want to get all the way down there and theyve gone. i'm going back to karratha tomorrow and i'll suss out the logistics of bringing some back its gotta be easier than importing stuff from thailand...
