Thats awesome Terry, Congrats.

You're the only person I've ever seen with any Bichir fry.

How much do the Dels go for?

Ronny it's a bit hard to price fish that are still eggs but I would guess at around the $200 mark retail when they are 3 inches long.
The girl was from Monstafish and the boy from Managuense
They are still spawning after 24 hours there would be in excess of 1000 eggs, most of them won't hatch it's their first spawning so I might not get any fry.Their spawning ritual looks the same as the senagals, they spawn for 3 days at a time. It took several spawns with the senagals before they got it right but some of the eggs I have collected look good, I will keep you informed.

Now now guys, Im sure there'll be enough to go round lol.

Even if 90% dont survive, that leaves at least 100 and I'm sure you dont want 100 each tongue.gif

Then there'll be next time, I'll have to wait a few batches untill there's enough for me to get a couple sad.gif

All of the eggs fungused, either the male is a dud or too young. The senagals breed every 2 weeks so it shouldn't be too long before the delhezis go off again.
WANTED large male delhezi

A valid question IMO. Hopefully someone will have an answer soon.
