Congratulations ! Takes a 'Name' like yours to draw Roger out of the forrests of Nambucca and make his first post !!

Yeah, about time Roger.

For those who don't know, Roger's fish room is about twice the size of the average house or flat, would put quite a few LFS's in the shade. And he is no slouch when it comes to breeding a few fish.

We look foreward to a few more Pithy, Fishy posts Roger!

:cheers

Alan

Hello Ian,

I see on your list is Rineloricaria filimentosa.. is this the same as Loricaria filimentosa??
These are being offered at one of the local fish stores.
Do they really grow to almost a foot long??

Thanks
Brett

Brett I think these are 2 different fish, Loricaria filamentosa have been moved to Lamonticthys (shrugs?) these fish resemble S.aureum to a certain degree but with long beuatiful filaments trailing from the fins. I remember asking on the PCS forum ages ago if they were available in OZ, I was told by Terry they weren't, either way they are definately on the wish list along with pekolita's

Rineloricara, not totally sure how to describe these guys, If you own "Back to nature guide to catfish" by David Sands these guys are on page 76.

Perhaps some of the other caty freaks can correct me if I'm wrong?
I still have the training wheels on in regards to catfish, will hopefully get Aqualogs all corydoras and all L numbers :)

Excuse me do you sell Jazz CD's

This is a pet store

sajica

There has been a complete shake up of the whole Loriciidae group. Dr I.J.Isbruecker and a group of emenant European aquarists got together and sorted them. The original manuscript was published in the German magazine VDA-įktuell. An English translation was written by Isbruecker and re-published in the Catfish Study Group (UK) magazinee 'CatChat' The only draw back here is its a members only magazine (at the moment).

Hi Ian
Can you expand on this review and its relation to the
L number system

I suppose a good question would be how and how much to join CSG ;)
