No don't use vitamin supplements designed for humans. Best use a vitamin supplement formulated specifically for aquarium fish eg. Vitamarin-F. Beware beefheart can be heavy on the filtration and there is some debate if there is any benefit to feeding fish beefheart or not, wild fish generally don't eat mammals. Then again I have used it to fatten up fish.

When I kept various Geos I kept them on fine sand I gathered from the avon river. This made a huge difference in the sifting habits. Instead of spitting gravel back out the mouth the sand would pour out the gills, a more natural behaviour I believe. I used smooth, semi-flat river rocks as spawning sites.

I have found frozen baby brine shrimp before in perth, but it was honestly overpriced for the amount in the pack
Buying it by the tin (454g) is the only economical way.
