Hey dean, calculate your water volume LxWxH divide by 1000. That will give you total water volume, you should be able to find a skimmer based on that figure. I use a 3500lt/hr skimmer on my 400lt setup and it's pumping smile.gif

It's 240L. When you do the calculation be sure to use cm.
I have an air driven skimmer rated to 250L tank you can have if you like.

Ok, its recommended you get a skimmer thats rated 2 times your water volume. Except when its a prestige brand eg royal exclusive, vertex, deltec. However since this will be your first i can recommend reef octopus, skimz, tunze, marine sources, bubble magnus. Now if you do some research you will find out there is a wide variety of types of skimmers, the latest tech is needle wheel cone skimmers, i can say they are brilliant cause i have one. If you do get a skimmer try and get one that is a needle wheel skimmer cause they are much more efficient than most of the other types.
