woke up today to find a fry saver had sunk in a tank and all 100-120 bristlenose fry had escaped into the tank... so all day i was annoyed and thinking sooner or later im gonna have to catch them all out... syphon hose did the trick and 20 min later refilled fry saver :)

but still a pain in the butt :)

Lol, I know how you feel, when I went on holiday for a week, I had a fry saver with sail fin balloon Molly fry and when I came back it had sunken, the fry all got eaten and my 12cm goldfish was stuck in the breeder net. The moral of the story is get better suckers

I use those black plastic cages aquotix sells. Bit of styrofoam on each side makes it float well. Cant ever sink

Nope! Get better fry savers.

Aquatic's Fry Savers

Good time for me to bump my ad. I have never had these fry savers sink or overturn.

And they are cheap ;)

its def a DIY frysaver that works but ya gotta weigh up time/resources/available space/number needed... i have around 20 frysavers in use at any one time....

May I suggest square containers

so how does that stop goldfish sucking fry through the flywire or water slots ???

I'm certain Johnno would rather suck up 100-120 L046 than common as muck bristlenose fry. I know i would, i'd even catch them one by one.
