how large is your tank? Maybe you just have a bastard fish.

chuck in a divider if you want that comp to live in the same tank otherwise it will soon die.

Now and then you get a "Bastard" fish, that floggs everything in the tank no matter what you do...this may be the case in this instance, Blake.

Try removing the aggressor and see what the results are, then try putting the agro one back in a few days - a week.
If there are still agro problems try pulling the wimpy-one out...find out which combination works best and stick with it. You should know from your Tang Community tank that dynamics among Tang's is very important/tricky to get right.

wowowwwowowowowow WHAT THE HECK

Got back from 3 days in australind and checked all ym tanks out and noticed.

Egg tubes on both compressiceps out

one really round and blunt the uther rather pointy.

the black one "bully" is in a shell and the one who was gettign picked on lingering around the out side.....

As if they would breed at this size, or in such a large community tank..........

would they..................... :rolleyes

Just had a look again and they seemed to have swapped spots.
The bulyl does not at all seem to be pullying the other but almost gaurding it?
The othe rone is constantly sitting in the shell entrance!

Heya

Sounds like the one that was being bullied was a female that was not prepared to breed at the time. The male was getting a bit pissed about it. Pretty common behaviour.

If he is guarding anything it will be eggs. He may just be waiting for the female to move so he can fertilise the eggs...

Interesting to see how it works out. I cant get over the way these fish seem to be acting at 4cm!!

Good luck!
Regards

BT

Ok one still gaurds the shell, but i havnt checked it for any fry.

I know that comps r like larvae when small so i havnt really wanted to disturb them IF there is anything in there which i doubt.

I will give it a look to soon but as for now the male seems to be aggresive again....... very weird!
