G'day
I didnt really know where to ask this, so ill try here and in the general section;)
Anyone know what the latin name is for the common local glass shrimp? My mate e-mailed me the other day looking for a latin name, family and adult length but i really have no idea.

I only came up with Paratya australiensis in searches, but theyre referred to as more of an eastern states species.

Cheers

Have a look in Freshwater Life by Williams. Its Pallamonetes australis, the spelling is wrong but thats the phonetic. I can't find my copy of the book if I do I'll get the right spelling and other information it contains.
